So Mardi Gras came and went. Missed alot of the first week due toi sickness, but did make it to a handful of parades regardless. Had a good time. pics are uploading as I type this.
Something I noticed as I typed this: Why is it that everytime i go to type MArdi Gras the A gets picked up as a capital and i have to go correct it. i left the last one just to prove the point. just a little goofy Seinfeldesque pet peeve that I run into EVERYTIME i type Mardi Gras. But i still heart it.
Some of the highlights from this year:
Krazy returns to the parade route. wow in itself. It was awesome to have him back out there with us.
Temple Day – Always a blast.
Seeing out of town friends – always awesome to see ya’ll. Those of ya’ll that didn’t make it down this year, get your plans in gear for next year.
Lundi Gras – Went and saw Rex’s proclamation. Seeing Rex proclaim the awesomeness of Mardi Gras was great. Caught my Rex dubloon there. It found me. landed in my shirt pocket. INTENSE.
Mardi Gras Day – as awlays, the pope made his appearance, but exclusively on the Orleans route. Was most excellent to wake up and go on the balcony to see Mardi Gras literally outside my door.
In Sum, Can’t wait till next year.
In other worlds, work keeps me busy as usual. Haven’t seen a bunch of people in a while. the good old days when life was less hectic and things called free time existed. I know it’s been a while since my last post, and my apologies to those of you who’ve been waiting patiently for my next post. Again, I wish I had more time more often to post. I need to put it into at least my weekly routine to put aside time for posts and other additions/upgrades/work related to this mo fo’.
Congrats to my Dad and Honey on their upcoming marriage. Wishes of many happy years to the both of them.
Also, I’ll take this time to congratulate the several couples of 2008 that I’ve seen. Chis and Lisa, Eddie and Lauren, John and Kim. Cheers to you all.
House news: The electric pole is out there and it finally has a meter. Soon as the current vacation freeze lifts, i’m taking a day or two off to get the show on the road out there. As progress happens, I’ll try to keep tabs on here.
